Research Abstract |
Converging characteristics of argon cluster ion beam by passing through glass capillaries(outlet diameter : 10~140 mm) was investigated. Converging factor(ratio of ion density at outlet to one at inlet), the change of the velocity and cluster size(the number of constituent atoms) of incident cluster ions by passing through the capillary were clarified.
