Research Abstract |
The present study revealed optimal conditions, such as hardness of rubber, mean diameter and fraction of RB ceramics particles, in order for synthetic rubber/RB ceramics composites to show high friction under water or oil lubricated condition. Sandals using the rubber/RB ceramics composite sheets as outsole was designed and manufactured. The sandal showed high slip-resistance against wet floor surfaces, which showed the rubber/RB ceramics composites can be applied to high slip-resistant outsole materials
