Research Abstract |
Phase equilibria have been experimentally determined mainly in Co-W and Co-Mo base ternary systems, and assessed by using the computational thermodynamics called CALPHAD technique. The phase stability of the L1_2, D0_<19> and Laves phases has particularly been investigated. These results are useful for alloy design of Co-based alloys such as heat resistant materials, wear resistant materials and medical materials.
