Research Abstract |
Allergen sensitization through a disrupted skin barrier plays a prominent role in the development of atopic diseases, including allergic asthma. The present study has clarified that skin-mediated allergen sensitization results in the prolonged airway inflammation and bronchial hyper-responsiveness in IL-23/IL-17-dependent manner.
