Research Abstract

プロスタグランジンなどの脂質(脂肪酸)は睡眠調節に関与することが知られている。一方で、睡眠は疲労回復や記憶の定着などに重要とされるが、これら睡眠の生理的意義の分子機構は解明されていない。本研究では、マウス大脳皮質でのmRNA発現レベルが明期と暗期で変動する脂肪酸輸送タンパク質brain fatty acid binding protein (FABP7の相互作用タンパク質としてGlycoprotein M6a (GPM6a)を同定した。更に、両タンパク質がマウス脳でも相互作用していることを確認し、FABP7とGPM6aがマウス脳で相互作用し機能している可能性を示した。
