Research Abstract |
Magnetic nanoparticles encapsulated in amorphous SiO2 were prepared using our original wet chemical method. The cancer cell selective magnetic particles were developed by functionalization. Magnetization measurements were performed for various composition and particle size. AC magnetic susceptibility measurements were performed for samples, and particle composition, size were optimized for magnetic hyperthermia treatment. In vitro experiments to study the hyperthermia effects on cancerous cells were carried out and drastic effects were obtained.
