Research Abstract |
We found that the acute inactivation of Rb family (Rb, p107, p130) in cortical progenitors leads differentiating neurons to undergo cell division, while that in differentiating neurons leads them to undergo cell death. We also found that the uncoupled neuronal differentiation and proliferation of Rb family-deficient cortical cells required the activation of DNA repair pathway.
