Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of complaining behaviors between Japanese and Koreans in workplaces or medical facilities. The study focused on the relationship between unpleasantness and complaining behaviors when one encountered experiences such as having a hair in one’s food or facing impolite service in a restaurant. It was suggested the level of unpleasantness was higher among Japanese than Koreans. It was also suggested that Japanese complain more often about their unpleasant experiences indirectly. It was also indicated that Japanese use “accepted strategies”more frequently while Koreans use “requested strategies”when they experienced a poor communication with medical staffs.
