Outline of Final Research Achievements

We established Extramammary Paget’s disease cell line (EMPE cell), and characterized their growth behavior. EMPE cells expressed androgen receptor (AR) and androgen enhanced their growth. EGF also enhanced their growth, but EGF receptor was not expressed in EMPE cell. It is suggested EGF may play a role of ligand –independent of AR activation pathway in EMPE cell.
