Research Abstract

We compared the grafting efficiency of undifferentiated cell, early mesodermal cells, cardiomyocytes (early- and middle-stage) from human iPS cells in transplantation into mouse hearts, and found that middle-stage differentiated cardiomyocytes can be grafted efficiently. We also observed that transplanted differentiated cardiomyocytes can survive and maturate in the infarcted mouse hearts and improve the cardiac function.
