Research Abstract |
It was showned that HA formulations were effective for SZP expression and joint lubrication and providing a protective barrier for the cells in the deep zone of cartilage in early OA. Moreover, it was suggested that HA affects SZP expression. Interaction between SZP and HA in articular cartilage may be critical for proper lubricating function on the surface of articular cartilage.
