Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Imaing (EPRI) combinded with nitroxide imaging probes is known to be a powerful non-invasive method for visualizating the redox status in vivo. Recently we have improved teh conventional L-band EPR imager using the rapid-scan technique, and it becomes possible to obtain three-dimensional EPR images of small rodents. Using this improved EPR imager, simultaneous imaging of multiple bio-functions, such as redox status, oxygen concnetration, and pH, was carried out non-invasively.
