Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Histamine plays an important role in brain functions such as sleep-wake cycle and stress response. We investigated the molecular mechanism of histamine clearance. We demonstrated that histamine N-methyltransferase, which inactivates histamine, was one of the essential factors for histamine clearance.
