Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In a three-year follow-up study, we found that higher caregiver burden affected patients' higher Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of dementia (BPSD).Our result shows that support for caregivers have a positive effect not only for caregivers but also for patients. We also examined 1) the association between suicidal ideation among patients with dementia and caregiver burden, 2)mental health status among dementia caregivers compared to community residents, and 3) caregiver burden among patients with semantic dementia.
