Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I have developed a spectro-polarimeter fed to 60-cm telescope at Haleakala observatory in order to observe atomic oxygen emission close to jovian satellite, Io. An observation made on February 2016 revealed that the degree of linear polarization (DoLP) is 21 +/- 32% for OI 630.0 nm emission line close to Io. Further observation on May 2016 will enable us to achieve an accuracy of DoLP better than 7%.
