Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this project, we summarized research groups, supported many collaboration works, and led the strengthening of academic level and human resource development. Particularly, a planning and management group, a young research group, and a collaboration support group had been established. We also performed various research promotion and support activities such as domestic and international symposia, meetings in the whole groups, young research group, and colloquium. As an outreach activity, we published articles in the magazine "Chemistry Today" every month. The “π-figuration school” was established to support exchanges with students and researchers from research groups inside and outside the group and to support the development of young people.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
総括班の活動により、領域発足時に比べて領域内共同研究が爆発的に増大した。初の試みであったπ造形スクールを通じた共同研究も順調に遂行した。一般誌を通じた情報発信法は、学会関係者からもその斬新さ、インパクト、波及効果に対して非常に高い評判を得ることができた。これらの端的な事実からも、総括班が取り組んできた 5年間の成果は、有機エレクトロニクスといった将来の科学技術イノベーションに通じる物質科学の新学問領域創成につながるものとして、非常に意義深いといえる。
