Outline of Annual Research Achievements

意欲低下・変調を示す疾患、摂食障害やうつ病や引きこもり、多動性障害(ADHD)などの精神神経疾患の意志力にかかる病態について、ドパミン神経、セロトニン神経やコリン神経の変化について特異的トレーサーを用いて描出し、脳内の神経炎症と末梢性サイトカイン系物質との関連を調べて、脳-末梢連関の炎症系の意欲破綻の関係を明らかにした。また、tDCS(経頭蓋直流電流刺激法)とやる気に関わる心理実験も導入して、健常人においてやる気のメカニズムをドパミン神経やGABA系の活動変化との関連を明らかにした。領域間・領域外の研究を推進し、意志力に関わる分子基盤への解明をさらに追求した。PET装置は浜松医科大学および共同研究先の浜松PET診断センターの頭部専用機器を用いて行った。
脳MRIコネクトーム研究を通じて意志力の神経基盤解明について検証した。3T-MRIを用いた研究ではこれまで収集したデータをもとに多面的な解析を進め、7T-MRIでは健常者および気分障害等の患者でのデータ収集を行った。その結果、健常範囲内での脳MRIコネクトームと意志力関連指標との関連性や、気分障害患者やレム睡眠期行動異常症といった意志力の障害を認める疾患群における両者に関連性があることが判った。さらに、7T-MRIにおいては開発中の高空間分解能コネクトーム解析技術を上記で得られたデータに応用し、これまで開発してきた機械学習によるバイオマーカー探索技術や精神疾患の脳画像特徴抽出技術を応用することで、意志力に関わる病態解明を進めることができた。
