| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本計画研究では、現在と過去の火星、エンセラダス、エウロパ、リュウグウ母天体を主要な研究対象とし、(1)リュウグウ母天体で起きていたと予想される水-岩石反応の予測と検証、(2)火星、エンセラダス、エウロパの海水化学組成の推定、(3)高温高圧下での水-岩石反応で発生する熱水組成の推定、(4)海底熱水環境と氷-海水境界における代謝可能エネルギーの推定、を目的としている。
平成30年度は、昨年度から継続して各天体の水-岩石反応を模した実験・熱力学モデリングを行った。渋谷（代表）と本課題で雇用するポスドク研究員は、リュウグウ母天体を対象とした熱力学モデリングをほぼ完了し、はやぶさ２によるリュウグウの観測結果の解釈およびリターンサンプルの鉱物種の予測を行った。また、リュウグウ母天体を模した水-岩石反応実験を継続して行い、終了した実験については固体生成物及び溶液試料の化学分析を行った。廣瀬（分担）は、平成31年度から開始する氷天体の断層摩擦実験に向け、熱水環境下での溶液試料採取方法の開発、および変形透水システムの調整を開始した。また、流体圧制御型低～高速剪断試験装置を用いて水惑星内での地震断層運動の再現実験を行い、予察的データを取得した。西澤（分担）は、普通コンドライトを用いた隕石-海洋衝突実験を行い、固体試料の効率的な回収方法を確立した。柏原（分担）と本課題で雇用するポスドク研究員は、マンガン酸化物の沈殿時に取り込まれる微量元素のpH及び酸素濃度依存性に制約を与えた。高谷（分担）は、エウロパの地殻内水-岩石反応を模した実験を継続して行い、終了した実験については固体生成物と溶液試料の分析を行った。中村（分担）は、各分担者の追加実験用に合成した岩石初期物質及び固体生成物の全岩組成分析を行った。また、渋谷は各分担者の実験計画の調整を行い、A01班内での連携強化及び本計画研究の統括を行った。

Reason
平成29年度には、当初の計画より遅れている実験と計画を前倒した研究・開発があったが、平成30年度は、遅れていた実験を大幅に進めることができたため、ほぼ順調に計画が進んでいると判断できる。また、水-岩石反応実験では反応時間が１年以上にわたる場合が多いため、実験中にトラブルが発生することがあったが、熱力学モデリング等を行うことでそれを補うことができた。したがって、全体の進捗状況は「おおむね順調」とした。

リュウグウ母天体、原始火星、氷天体を模した水-岩石反応実験については、実験期間が長いためこれまでの実験を継続して行うとともに、終了した実験については順次固体生成物と溶液試料の化学分析を行い、実験条件を変えて新たな実験を開始する。衝突実験についてはこれまで行ってきた実験の結果について主に解析を行う。また、摩擦実験については、これまでの開発が順調に進んでいるため、平成31年度は当初の予定通り氷天体を模した実験を開始する。
