本研究では、ユビキチン鎖およびユビキチン翻訳後修飾が多彩な生物現象を調節するユビキチン・コードの一端を解明し、ユビキチン制御系の新たな分子機構解明を目指す。アセチルユビキチン蛋白を用いた相互作用因子取得を進めた。また、新規のユビキチン翻訳後修飾として見出した非典型鎖に関しては、転写因子の上流シグナルとの関連を明らかにした。

細胞内基質や抗体、in vitro解析法などを用いて、アセチルユビキチンの機能解析を進める。また新規のユビキチン翻訳後修飾についても解析を進める。
