Research Abstract |
In this year, our project was carried out on following points: 1. Epidemiological study on the patients in Tianjin in 14 years (1974-1988). The total number was 158, 39 men and 119 women. Patients in their thirties were most common in men and twenties were most common in women. Complete type was 30% in men, 28.6% in women. All patients in incomplete type were lacking eye symptom. 2. Clinical study of patients in Harbin. The total number which was observed in last year (1988-1989) was 41 cases, patients in their thirties were most common in men, and twenties and thirties were most common in women. Complete type was 57% in men, and 37% in women. All patients in incomplete type were lacking eye symptom. 3. A study of HLA antigens in patients in Beijing Medical University. Thirty Chinese Han nationality patients with BD were typed for HLA antigens. The present study revealed that HLA-B51 was significantly increased in the entire group of BD patients.
