Research Abstract	本年度は3年継続の本研究の最終年度に当る。初年度・2年度に引き続き、高度に発達した物質科学的手法を従来の鉱物学的手法と組み合わせて地球・惑星物質全体について、その形成と冷却の過程を清緻に推定するために総合的研究を行なった。ファインセラミックス、半導体等の分野で開発・応用されつつある高度な物質科学的手法が鉱物の形成過程を記録しているマクロからサブミクロにわたる集合組織や鉱物の組み合わせ、化学組成変化、高次結晶構造等にどのように適用していくかは本総合研究の目的の一つである。研究対象も地球表層だけでなく地球深部物質から隕石、月、他の惑星物質まで太陽系の物質進化を視野の中心に置いて検討した。固体地球・惑星科学における未解決の問題、研究手法の開発等の問題を検討し情報交換するために東京で研究会を開催した。また最終年度であるため、本総合研究の総括を行なった。研究会で検討された話題は、隕石中の希ガス同位体からみた初期太陽系(高岡)、カリオフィライトのドメイン構造と組成依存(河原)、高圧実験による火星物質(鎌谷、大沼)、EXAFSによる鉱物の局所構造(吉朝)、ガンドルフィカメラによる格子定数精密決定法と回折線プロフィル(中牟田、青木)、宇宙での結晶成長実験(塚本)、放散虫殼の結晶化度、微量元素(小藤)、高温高圧下でのカンラン石中の元素拡散(森)。そして本研究総括として固体惑星物質よりみた太陽系初期の物質進化(武田)が検討された。これらの討論を通じて固体地球・惑星物質科学において適用しうる最新・最先端の実験手法と重点的に注目すべき研究対象が具体的に検討され、今後のこの分野における先端的アプロ-チの方法・方向が示唆され、重点的に研究すべき領域が打出された。
