Research Abstract	各研究分担者は「自由境界の最適制御問題」を総合的に研究するために、(1)プラズマやPorous mediaにあらわれる自由境界問題(2)2相ステファン問題(3)差分方程式に関して研究を進め、論文や数学会における講演等々の成果をあげている。主な点をあげると次の通りである。 1.プラズマにあらわれる自由境界の数値解析を出し、その自由境界と容器に関する最適形状問題を理論的・数値的に論じた。またporous mediaにおける自由境界の漸近的振舞いを自由境界上で定義される擬微分作用素を調べることによって論じた。 2.熱源項を制御項とする場合の一次元空間における2相ステファン問題の古典解の存在とその振舞いを論じた。 3.差分方程式において、位数有限な有理形解をもつための必要・十分条件を決定した。 4.フレッシュコンクリ-ト(粘弾性流体)をポンプ圧送する場合を対象として、ビンガム流に現われる自由境界を数値計算した。また、タイヤと地面の接地面が小さな摩擦係数をもつときに、タイヤがどのように変形するかを数値計算した。
