ソルボリシス機構の統一的解釈

Research Abstract

^<13>Cー ^<18>O二重ラベルの種々のアルキルトシレ-トを用い、ソルボリシスにおけるイオン対復帰を種々の溶媒中、種々の添加塩の存在下で ^<13>CNMR ^<18>O同位体法を使用して解析を行った。
αーtーブチルベンジル、2ーアダマンチルトシレ-トでは全溶媒中で顕著なスクランブリングが観測され、多量のイオン対リタ-ンの存在が明らかになった。これは中間体への求核攻撃もしくは更なるイオン対への解離のエネルギ-障壁がイオン化の障壁より高いことを意味し、これらの基質のソルボリシスがlimiting機構でないことを示唆する。またメタクロロ置換体でも同様の結果が得られ、ベンゼン環置・基によるカルボカチオンの安定性の低下にも関わらずイオン対復帰の相対値に変動がないことが明らかになった。一方、溶媒変動によりイオン対復帰の相対値に2倍程度の差異がみられた。したがって、置換基効果解析にはイオン対復帰に対する考慮は必要でないが、溶媒効果解析には見かけの速度からのイオン化速度の見積にはある程度の補正が必要であることになる。αーtーブチルベンジルトシレ-トの各溶媒中におけるリタ-ンの割合はアダマンチル系と殆ど同じであり、ソルボリシスの溶媒効果解析において2ーアダマンチルトシレ-トと1:1の直線関係が得られたこと矛盾しない。結局、ここで取り上げた系の結果は、kc機構として帰属されている殆ど全てのソルボリシス系においてもその機構はlimitingではなく、反応速度にエネルギ-的寄与の考慮を要するイオン対中間体の介在の可能性を示唆しており、ソルボリシスの詳細機構の再検討の必要性が改めて明らかになった。
