Research Abstract	本研究班は、通常の解析的手法のみでは解決因難な「相関の強い系」をス-パ-コンピュ-タ-やワ-クステ-ションを利用した数値的方法いよって解決すること、並びにその為の新しい手法やアルゴリズムの開発を目的としている。まず、希土類などの磁性不純物による近藤効果の中で未解決の課題、(1)f軌道の内部構造が重要な場合(2)不純物間の相互作用が重要な場合(3)超伝導体の場合、について数値繰り込み群の開発、発展がなされ世界的に見て、高い成果を上げた(酒井、斯波)次に、現在多くの研究者の興味を引いている「一次元量子系」について当班の研究が大きい寄与をした。新しい厳密解をもつモデルの発見とコンピュ-タ-を用いた証明が提出され、計算機利用の新しい方向を提示した。(倉本)一次元Hubbardモデル、tーJモデルの相関関数の新しい数値的研究(斯波)と量子モンテカルロ法の応用(今田)は、共形場理論へのサポ-トと共に、新しい結果も含んでいる。これに関係して、一次元整数スピン反強磁性体の相関関数(久保)、Haldane gapの磁場依存性(高橋)、trimerigation(斯波)などス-パ-コンピュ-タ-の活用により、他の方法では因難な課題の過展に寄与した。高温超伝導のメカニズムの解明と関係した二次元電子系の研究も当班で進められ、次年度への足がかりを築した。フェルミ粒子持有の負附号問題の解析(今田)、二次元Hubbardモデルが一次元とどう違うかについて調べられ、両者のある面での類似性を示唆する結果がかられている。(今田)その他、強磁場下の二次元電子系(永長,吉岡,安藤)についても新しい展開が各分担者によってなされた。
