| Research Abstract |
We made researches of the literature in the "enemy-occupied area" and "National Party-ruled area" in China from 1931 to 1945 and found out that these works were very complicated from their political standpoints.
Most of the authors tried to resist against the aggression of Japanese imperialism but they were restricted by their rulers. So, they could not help expressing their ideas in a roundabout way.
We analyzed the contents of their works and proved that so-called "Hanjian-Wenxue" doesn't always mean the works of betrayal of their country. We have reached the conclusion that we must be more careful in evaluating their works. We believe that we have to correct the modern history of Chinese literature and now we are preparing the publishment of "20 century's History of Chinese Literature".
