Research Abstract

本研究の目的が、偏微分方程式の数値解析理論の先端技術への応用という観点から新しい数値的方法を開発し、その数学的基礎理論を展開することと、先端技術開発において必要な工学上の諸問題に対する数理モデルの再検討とその数理モデルに対する解析法や計算法の開発並びに向上を図ることにあったため、研究初年度においては主に独創的な計算法の数学的基礎理論の研究に重点を置いた。偏微分方程式の数値解法が大型コンピュータの登場によって応用が先行したために、ややもすると基礎数理が軽視されることもあったが、理論に立ち戻った検討を目指した。研究はまず、分担者がそれぞれの専門領域で持っている知識のなかで、数学理論の展開に役立つ部分を積極的に発表し合うことから始めた。さらに先端技術へ利用効果の高い数値計算法として、より高い精度で高速な手法を確立するために可能と思われる理論の総合研究を行った。本年度の具体的な内容については次の通りであった。1.非線形偏微分方程式の有限要素近似2.境界要素法の数学的基礎付け3.代用電荷法の数学的理論解析4階位空間の応用、ウェーブレットの研究5ポアソン方程式の高速解法6自由境界問題のモデリングと数値解法7.粘性流体の流れの数値解析8.破壊力学の数理9.先端技術における逆問題の数値解析。
これらのテーマについて、以下の研究打合せと研究集会を主な討議の場として協議・研究連絡を行った。
