| Research Abstract |
本重点領域研究の目的は,化学の基本理念に基づく有機金属分子および有機金属活性分子の創出を行い,それぞれの有機金属分子の特性を調べ,化学反応性の立場からその触媒機能と分子認識機能を重点的に解明するとともに,機能材料としての可能性も検討することにある.この目的のために各班6名の計画研究班員から成る5つの重点的研究項目を設定し,これに加えて37名の公募研究班員が参加して研究を行った.各班長が総括班実施グループとして班の運営にあたり,互いに連携を保ちながら他項目の研究目的達成のために協力して問題解決にあたった.
各班の密接な交流をはかるために,第1回公開シンポジウムに於いて研究の概要説明と研究成果の発表を行った.オックスフォード大学からのデービス教授の来日もあり,研究の重要性が認識された.第2回シンポジウムに於いても班員による研究成果の発表を行い,活発な討論が行われた.また,日本化学会秋季年会,有機金属指向有機金属化学国際会議と合同で各班の研究連絡会議を開催し研究交流を行った.実施グループと評価グループによる総括班会議を2回開き、大局的・総合的見地より本研究に対する指導を受け,運営について助言を得た.さらに,班長会議を3回開催して本研究運営上の連絡を行った.
なお,各班員の研究推進のため,大阪大学に単結晶自動X線構造解析装置を設置した.さらに,関東地区の第2ステーションとして,現有の東京工業大学資源研のX線結晶解析装置に解析システムを補強し,不安定化合物の構造決定を行うために,液体ヘリウム温度可変装置を設置した.また,現有の大阪大学の核磁気共鳴分光光度計に高速並行データ処理システムを設置した.
研究進展のため,3冊の広報資料と本年度の各班員の研究成果をとりまとめた成果報告書を作成した.
