Research Abstract	日向はカブBrassica campestrisにおいて、未同定として残されていたSRA遺伝子をcDNAからクローニングし、その塩基配列をほぼ決定した。渡辺はS^9遺伝子ホモ系統からSLG^9およびSRK^9遺伝子をクローニングし、現在特許申請を準備中である。磯貝はS^8およびS^<12>ホモ系統から、SLGおよびSRK遺伝子のcDNAをクローニングして塩基配列を決定した。SRK遺伝子の細胞外ドメインとSLGとの相同性は、S^8系統では81.8%、S^<12>系統については75.9%であった。鳥山はBrassica campestrisへの遺伝子導入をアグロバクテリウム法を用いて行い、GUS遺伝子が導入可能であることを実証した。また、磯貝は同植物にSLGアンチセンス遺伝子の導入に成功した。崎山はニホンナシ「二十世紀(S^2S^4)」 Pyrus pyrifoliaの花柱cDNAライブラリーより、S遺伝子産物であるS^2-RNaseおよびS^4-RNaseと、自家不和合性に関与しないnon-S-RNaseの遺伝子のクローニングおよび塩基配列の決定に成功した。中西はニホンナシの未熟種子から複数のシュートが得られることを明らかにし、アブロバクテリウム法による感染条件を検討中である。試験研究は当初の見込みより数カ月程度遅れているものの、順調に展開している。しかし、中西(神戸大学)は阪神大震災により培養中の実験材料に被害を受けた。その被害程度は現在調査中である。
