| Research Abstract |
本研究は、ヒマラヤ高山帯の植物相が土着種由来であるか、他の地域からの移入種由来であるのかを明らかにし、さらに植物相のその後の発達過程を明らかにすることを目的としたものである。本年度は、ヒマラヤ高山帯での現地調査を行うこととし、ヒマラヤの中心ともいえるネパールとヒマラヤの東端とされる中国云南省西北部で現地調査を行った。期間はネパールが1994年7月から8月、中国が9月から10月である。
両地域の標高約4000m以上の高山帯で、生態の観察、形態の解析を行うための乾燥標本の作成、染色体の観察のための根端の固定、葉緑体DNA解析用のためのサンプルの採集を行なった。特に対象としたのは、Saxifraga、Rhodiola、Potentilla、Pedicularis、Juncus、ArabidopsisおよびImpatiensである。
現在上記の目的の具体化に必要な分類学的、生物地理学的、細胞遺伝学的、分子系統学的に解析を進めている。Impatiens、Juncus、Potentillaについては形態的多様性と細胞遺伝学的多様性が明らかになり、両地域間で対応する種間で比較検討を行い、分類学的、生物地理学的な解析を進めている。
Pedicularisについては形態解析と細胞遺伝学的解析が進みつつある。また、Arabidopsisについては、従来知られていた種と、葉緑体DNAの塩基配列の比較を行っている。得られた結果については、それぞれ専門雑誌などに投稿し印刷中または投稿中である。
