Research Abstract	本研究班は文部省国際学術研究がん特別調査関係の研究を効果的に、且つ円滑に実施するために、以下の研究及び活動を行った。 1)計画研究課題の企画と選定:「計画研究」は特に重要で、成果が期待できる骨格的な研究課題とし、総括班が企画選定した。計画研究は平成7年度は27課題の内11課題(総括班を含む)となり、平成8年度の計画研究としては新規課題2件を含めて10課題を推薦した。 2)予備調査の企画、選定、実施:本研究班においては計画研究の企画、選定に先立ち、相手国の受け入れ体制、研究の実施可能性、期待される成果、基礎的情報の収集のために必要に応じて予備調査を実施した。平成7年度には3件の予備調査((1)インドネネシアにおける日光紫外線と皮膚がんの関係、(2)マレーシアの栄養と口腔がん、(3)中国の胃がん・食道がんの多発)を実施した。平成8年度にも3件の予備調査(2年目1件、新規2件)を計画している。 3)班長会議の開催:平成8年3月18日に名古屋において班長会議を開催し、研究実施上の問題点の討議、情報交換などを行った。本年度はケニアで調査中の1研究者が強盗に襲われ重症を負うという事故があったほか、1研究者が病気のために研究を中断せざるをえないという事態が発生した。各研究者は健康に留意し、安全性にも気をつけて研究を行う必要性があることが強調された。 4)研究報告会の開催:平成8年3月18日に愛知県がんセンター国際医学交流センターおいて第11回研究報告会を開催し、主要研究成果を発表した。15EA06:5)がん特別調査ニュースレターの発刊:がん特別調査の各研究班及びその他の関連研究グループとの情報交換を密にするために、がん特別調査ニュースレターを3号(No.15-17)発刊した。
