| Research Abstract |
総合がん総括班会議は平成6年6月30日、7月18日、8月23日、9月26、11月22日、平成7年2月3日の計6回開催され、「発がん」総括班員も出席して運営上の諸問題の審議に参加した。とりわけ重要な案件は、平成7年度設定すべき計画研究の審議であり、これに長時間を費やした。候補者推薦の段階では「発がん」領域からのみの討論を行ない、領域としての推薦を行なった。最終的には総合がん総括班員全員による投票により決定した。この結果「発がん」領域からは研究(1)1班[代表者:石川隆俊(東大・医・教授)、課題:ヒト発がんにおける複製・修復遺伝子の変異]、研究(2)2班[代表者:堀井明(東北大・医・教授)、課題:ヒト癌の発生、進展に関与する遺伝子異常の解析;代表者:畠山昌則(がん研)、課題:細胞周期におけるレチノプラストーマタンパクの機能制御]を新たに発足させることとした。平成7年2月2-3日に行なわれたシンポジウムに際しても「発がん」領域・演者・候補者を推薦した。留保金解除の際、がん特から継続している計画班に当初配分の10%に当たる金額を配分した。また領域代表者伊藤に対し500万円特別配分することが総合がん総括班会議で認められた。
平成7年1月30日に開催された評価委員会で計画研究の2年目終了間近の8班(代表者:清水弘之、鎌滝哲也、山口宣生、日野茂男、北川知行、木村彰方、堀越正美、権藤洋一)が評価を受けたが、このうち山口宣生班(DNAウイルス初期遺伝子発現調節とその標的細胞遺伝子)がかなり厳しい批判を受けた。これを受け、平成7年3月18日(土)DNA腫瘍ウイルス研究者12人、領域代表者及び総合がん総括班長は京都において検討会を開催し討論した。
