Research Abstract

長寿命の核廃棄物を転換・消滅して短寿命化し、リスクを大幅に軽減するための方法を究明し、そのシステムを設計する研究を推進した。具体的な内容を次に示す。1.レーザーによる核崩壊制御、ガンマ線レーザーと光核反応の微細構造について検討した。2.超変形回転バンド、重粒子崩壊と高スピン核異性体ビームの調査と検討を行った。3.核分裂に関連し、入射粒子のエネルギー依存性、角運動量の影響、即発中性子の多重度に関する実験を行うとともに、即発中性子のエネルギー分布計算コードを完成した。共鳴と熱領域における精密な^<237>Npと^<241>Amの核分裂断面Q_β値が得られた。4.Ceなど稀土類10核種の中速中性子捕獲断面積を求めた。5.核破砕に関連し、20-40MeVと80-135MeVの中性子による各種放射化断面積を測定した。また、0.8、1.5および3.0GeV陽子の中性子放出微分断面積の解析を行い、モデルを評価した。6.転換消滅システムとして、鉛冷却高速炉、溶融塩炉および加速器炉などの性能を解析した。またTRU核種の計算におけるマルチバンド法の適用性を示した。さらに臨界集合体による模擬実験を立案した。7.溶融塩と液体金属の二相系におけるアクチニドやランタニド元素の分離分配実験を行った。8.アクチニド(まずはU)の新規3元化合物を探索し、その物性値を求めた。9.核燃焼システムとくにそのダウンストリームにおける消滅処理の意義を評価した。さらに群分離と消滅処理間の関連性も含めた詳細なシステム解析の方法を提案し、実際に計算を行った。
全体のこととして、研究の進め方、国内外関係機関との協力の仕方などについて議論し、今後まとめてゆくことになった。
