Research Abstract

平成8年度は,ビッグ・バンに始まり現在に至るまでの「初期宇宙・銀河・物質の起源と進化」を明らかにするために,1)宇宙・銀河団・銀河をとりまく物理環境の化学進化過程と時間発展の解明,2)初期宇宙・銀河・星での爆発的元素合成と物質循環過程の解明,の二つの研究に重点を置いた。研究組織として宇宙物理・天文・素粒子・原子核の全分野をカバーし理論・観測・実験研究者よりなる4つの研究サブグループ(初期宇宙グループ=力の統一理論にもとずく初期宇宙の相転移,時空発展,ハドロン等素粒子の生成メカニズムの解明;銀河・銀河団グループ=銀河団・銀河の構造形成・化学進化過程と宇宙をとりまく物理環境の時間発展の解明;星グループ=星・惑星・ガス・ダスト間の物質循環過程の解明;原子核グループ=原子核の爆発的合成過程,高温・高密度という極限条件下での核物質の性質の解明)を組織したので,異なる分野間での横断的な情報交換と研究交流に努めた。各サブグループによる研究成果を総括すると,1)宇宙のEW相転移,QCD相転移におけるCP対象性の破れ,バリオン数生成,非一様時空構造,ビッグバン元素合成への影響,天体核反能率の測定(初期宇宙,原子核グループ),2)銀河・銀河団形成の時間発展,化学進化,宇宙進化との関係,重力レンズ,高赤方偏移クエーサー・原始銀河の探索(銀河・銀河団グループ),3)超新星・新星での爆発的元素合成,中性子星・ブラックホールの形成と内部構造,宇宙線の起源と時間発展(星グループ),等に要約することが出来る。具体的には,「天文観測,理論による宇宙・銀河・星の化学進化」に関する研究会と,「初期宇宙・銀河・星での爆発的元素合成」に関する研究会を,それぞれ国内外から約35名の研究者を集めて開催し,研究発表と研究討論,および,著名な外国人研究者による研究成果のレビューを行なった。
