Research Abstract

X線(或いは、γ線)ラジオグラフィと相補的な特性を有する中性子ラジオグラフィ(Neutron Radiography:NR)を精級な計測技法とするため撮像技術の高度化(高時間分解能化)、高精度計測法(Σスケーリング法)の開発、計測限界の評価に関する検討を行い、熱流体科学分野への応用として次の結果を得た。
(1)撮像技術の高度化 本研究では1000frame/s(従来の撮像速度は30frame/s)で撮像可能な高感度撮像系を構築し、定常熱中性子束を用いた金属管内気液二相流の高速度撮像に世界で初めて成功した。また、低中性子束場における中性子数の計測誤差解析とコンバータの光減衰特性からNRの限界時間分解能を明らかにした。
(2)画像定量化法の開発 散乱中性子補正法(Σスケーリング法)を提案し、ボイド率計測法を確立した。Σスケーリング法の妥当性は、NR実験、モンテカルロ法による数値実験、炉物理的モデルにより検証した。また、画像処理法を用いてNR画像から流動様式、気泡上昇速度、気泡径分布、界面面積、液相速度場等の流れの計測が可能であることを示した。
(3)熱流動現象への応用 熱流動現象への応用研究として、狭間隙矩形管内空気-水垂直上昇二相流の可視化、細管内空気-水垂直上昇二相流のボイド率計測、水蒸気爆発の粗混合過程の可視化と計測、高速炉シビアアクシデントに関連した液体金属-窒素ガス高密度比二相流の可視化と計測を行った。
