Research Abstract	火成岩岩石学用のエキスパート・システムの構築を行った。地球化学的データに基づいて、各種の判別を行う本システムは、メニュー方式で、各サブプログラム・各種ファイルを管理・運営する統合部、データを組織的に維持・管理するデータベース部、データを必要に応じてグラフ表示し、判別するためのグラフィックス部、地図上に一次データあるいは二次データを表示するデータ・マッピング部、そしてこれらのデータを用いて各種の処理・モデル計算などを行うデータ処理部から構成される。また、これとは別に、カメラならびにビデオ映像データを用いて、岩石組織や構造を取込み、簡単な火成岩類の判別を行うシステムを構築した。各種火成岩類を、その地球化学的性質や、構造・組織上の特徴に基づいて、所属グループの判別や成因、形成プロセスの判別を行う際には、規準となるデータベースを構築する必要がある。そこで、これまでに、我々のグループで各種の主成分ならびに微量成分元素の分析を行った火成岩類について、その結果をデータベース化した。さらに、蛍光X線分析法、光量子放射化法、ICP質量分析法などにより、東北本州弧新生代火山岩類、中部地方第四紀火山岩類、白亜紀空知層群火山岩類、白亜紀〜古第三紀四万十層群火山岩類、メキシコ第四紀火山岩類などの、各地で採取した多様な火成岩類の、主成分ならびに微量成分元素の化学分析を今回新たに行い、それらについてもデータベース化した。そして、本システムを用い、それら多様な火成岩類について、各種の判別作業を行ない、その成果の一部を公表した。
