| Research Abstract |
昆虫の光周受容部位を同定するために、光環境に鋭敏に反応するカイコを用いて、まず組織学的検討をくわえ、脳神経球ないの休眠・非休眠を決定する部位の実験形態的調査によって、これがprotocerebrumに存在することを明らかにした。これらの一連の実験結果は動物学会で発表され、さらに国際誌に投稿中である。次いで分子生物学的に光受容分子を同定するために、まず単眼および複眼のオプシンの遺伝子配列の決定を試みた。プライマー(F8)と(R8)の組み合わせにより、それぞれのcDNAをtemplateにしたPCRにより約200baseのDNAfragmentが増幅された。現在これをプローブとして脳のcDNAライブラリーからオプシンライクな物質のクローニングを試みている。
