Research Abstract

“高次機能調和材料創成の原子・分子プロセッシング"の研究目標、及び、研究計画に沿って、平成9年度より研究をスタートした。研究体制は、1)生体指向高感度センサ・メモリ材料グループ、2)エネルギー・環境調和材料グループ、3)医療・高齢化ナノ材料グループ、4)コンピュータ支援材料設計、極微プロセッシンググループからなり、それぞれ以下の成果が得られた。
1:「生体指向高感度センサ・メモリ材料グループ」
生体の五感にせまり、超える感度を持ち、かつ多機能でフレキシブルなセンサ・メモリの開発を目指して、光、磁気などに特異な感度を持つ有機材料/無機材料ヘテロ成長条件の確立とメモリ機能を持つDNA分子の各種基板上への展開法の開発を行った(川合)。pH分布や神経の活動電位および強誘電体薄膜などの電場分布を画像化できるレーザ走査型イメージセンサを設計・試作し測定の高速化を実現した(岩崎)。光センサ・メモリのためのMnを含むInAs量子ドット構造の形成法の検討を行い、MOMBE法により形成可能なことを確認した(権田)。新規半導体レーザへの応用をめざして、巨大ステップを持つ微傾斜GaAs(110)上にGaAs積層型量子細線およびInAs系量子細線およびドットの形成に成功した(中島)。
2:「エネルギー・環境調和材料グループ」
高効率光エネルギー変換システムの構築に向けた新規化合物の合成に成功し、さらに別種化合物の合成にも成功した。また、これらの化合物を金基板上に自己集合単分子膜化させるために必要な置換基の導入を行った(坂田)。蛋白質中に酸化還元機能を持つキノイド化合物を特異的に導入することに成功し、その構造をX線結晶解析により原子レベルで解明した(谷沢)。細菌の異物排出蛋白の膜内トポロジー決定法を開発し、精密な膜貫通構造を決定した(二井、山口)。面不斉およびらせん不斉をもつ新規な有機金属錯体の合成に成功し、その特異な機能を抽出した(高橋)。
3:「医療・高齢化用ナノ材料グループ」
無機長繊維で強化した複合材料の組織制御プロセスを開発した結果、マトリックスと長繊維の界面構造制御に成功し、靱性と強度に優れた繊維強化材料の開発に成功した。また、快削性や超塑性を示すセラミックス基複合材料の製造プロセスを検討し、ナノ複合化によってこれらが発現することを確認した(新原)。アルミナの燃焼でPVAを添加し、これをN2雰囲気で不完全燃焼-焼結させた。これにより、炭素が気孔表面にナノ・メーターのオーダーでコートされたアルミナ多孔質体が得られ,優れたマシナブル性を実現することができた。又、高圧水素中で金属を溶解し一方向凝固させることによってポア(孔)の形態(向きとサイズ)を制御できるポーラス金属作製装置を完成させた。この装置を用いて種々の金属のポアの形態制御法の確立を行なった(菅沼、中嶋)。
4:「コンピュータ支援材料設計グループ」
シリコン原子と比較して波動関数のより局在している炭素原子(ダイヤモンド)に適用できる第一原理分子動力学法を開発し、低抵抗n型のダイヤモンド作製のため、アクセプターであるBとドナーであるNを1:2の割合で同時にド-ピングする新しい価電子制御法を量子シミュレーションに基づいて発見した(吉田)。コンピュータ支援材料設計システム(高次機能調和マテリアルデザインシステム)に必要な基盤技術とシステムの設計・試作を行った(溝口)。
5:「極微プロセッシンググループ」
DNA各種基板上への展開方法の検討:DNAオリゴマーおよびプラスミドをCu(111)、TiO_2(110)上に真空噴霧法と滴下乾燥法により展開できることを確認した(川合)。有機/無機ナノハイブリッド材料分子凝集状態の陽電子消滅法による評価の検討:ゾル・ゲル法による有機/無機ナノハイブリッド材料の界面分子結合状態が陽電子消滅法を用いて評価でき、機械・熱的性質と関係づけることが可能である事を確認した。有機高分子・有機金属高分子中の電子・エネルギー移動過程評価手法の確立:有機高分子・有機金属高分子中の主鎖から特異な側鎖へ、および、主鎖の正常構造から構造欠陥への電子・エネルギー移動過程の測定が可能な分光分析手段を確立した(岡田)。方位配向強磁性金属ナノ粒子分散膜の創製:高機能トンネル型磁気抵抗膜などを実現する目的で、非晶質アルミナ膜上に、方位配向したFeナノ粒子(10nm径)を均一分散させる技術、ならびに組織解析手法を確立した(弘津)。
