Research Abstract	"高次機能調和材料創成の原子・分子プロセッシング"研究目標、及び、研究計画に沿って、平成9年度より研究をスタートした。研究体制は、1)生体指向高感度センサ・メモリ材料グループ、2)エネルギー・環境調和材料グループ、3)医療・高齢化ナノ材料グループ、4)コンピュータ支援材料設計、極微プロセッシンググループからなり、平成12年度それぞれ以下の成果が得られた。〔生体指向高感度センサ・メモリ材料グループ〕 1)室温ではたらく光/磁気直接変換材料及び超巨大磁気抵抗材料を開発した(川合)。2)化学イメージセンシングやエリプソメトリによりシリコン基板に固定したタンパク質のセンシングを確認した(岩崎)。3)新構造MnInAsSb/InSbにより中赤外光センサ・メモリ機能を実現した。多結晶GaN p-n接合でダイオード特性を確認した(朝日)。4)顕微および時間分解フォトルミネセンスによりレーザー用量子細線を評価し、また選択ドープ用量子細線の最適化を行った(中島)。5)FePd硬磁性ナノ粒子2次元分散膜の低温合成と一軸配向(垂直配向)化を達成した(弘津)。〔エネルギー・環境調和材料グループ〕 1)高効率光エネルギー変換システムの構築に向けて、本年度は有機化合物を用いた人工光合成系の構築を行い、これまでの中で光エネルギー変換のもつとも高い量子収率を達成した(坂田)。2)集光機能が期待できるイソシアニドポリマーが右巻(または左巻)らせん構造を形成するための要件を解明した(高橋)。3)DNA核酸塩基の水素結合によって光電子移動反応速度を制御できることを見い出した(真嶋)。4)異物排出膜タンパク質の全域に渡るCys走査変異体を作成し、機能残基と詳細なトポロジーの完全マップを作成した。また大腸菌異物排出タンパク遺伝子資源の完全ライブラリを構築した(山口)。〔医療・高齢化用ナノ材料グループ〕 1)水素および窒素ガスを用いてステンレス鋼および鋳鉄をポーラス化(多孔質化)することができた。また,ロータス(レンコン)型ポーラス金属の圧縮強度を調べ,圧縮変形機構を解明した(中嶋)。2)生体活性人工骨材料の開発を目指して、ヌクレオチドーアパタイト複合材料を合成し、ラットを用いて生体適合性を検討した。異物反応は見られず良好な結果を得た。さらにBMP(骨増殖因子)をヌクレオチドーアパタイト複合材料に添加した。ラットを用いた生体適合性実験を行なったが、顕著な骨伝導性の向上は現在のところ見られていない(菅沼)。3)磁性ナノ粒子を分散したナノコンポジットをin-situ法などを含めた種々の方法で作製し、熱処理条件の最適化で任意のサイズのナノ粒子及びその分散形態制御が可能なことを示した。この結果、磁気機能と力学的機能をコンビネーションさせることにより応力センシング機能化が出来た。溶液内ソノケミカルプロセスにより、ナノサイズ金属の新規な生成方法を確認し、生体用材料を含む種々の材料表面に複合化させることに成功した(新原)。〔コンピュータ支援材料設計グループ〕 1)p型、n型の価電子制御や金属化が可能となるようなZnOに遷移金属をドープし透明な強磁性体や反強磁性体をデザインし、光誘起透明超強磁性体のデザインを行い、実験グループと共同でこれらを実現した。さらに、誘電体の低抵抗p型化の新しい価電子制御法と誘電体ベースの強磁性体のデザインを行った(吉田)。2)ワイドギャップ半導体混晶における価電子制御法に関する物質設計システムを専門家に試用してもらい、現実的な物質設計システムの構築を準備した(溝口)。〔極微プロセッシンググループ〕 1)DNAが2次元ネットワークを形成することを原子間力顕微鏡で観察し、さらに、このネットワークが電気伝導性を持つ回路となりうることも見出した(川合)。2)STMによりSiショートチャンネルMOSFETの断面形状を観察した。またキャリア濃度も測定可能となった(中島)。3)シリコン、アルミ、鉄などの表面の原子間力顕微鏡によるナノ陽極酸化プロセスを開発した(岩崎)。4)新規BN・CケージクラスターのHREM構造解析・分子軌道計算・物性評価(菅沼)。5)高分解能電顕を用い、アニールに伴う強磁性FePtナノ粒子規則格子ドメイン構造変化のその場観察、および、新規合成した強磁性FePd方位配向ナノ粒子の規則構造観察を行った(弘津)。
