Research Abstract	国際共同研究を始めるに当たり、和歌山県立医科大学を日本の代表、山東医科大学を中国の代表とし、両国での乳癌診断、治療方法の選択、病理診断、術後予後追跡調査の比較を行うため、和歌山県立医科大学より覚道、桜井、宇都宮が、また山東医科大学より寿、張がそれぞれ相互訪問し意見を交換した。またそれぞれ学術講演会を行い、本研究計画への協力とそれぞれの方式を紹介した。この交流のスタートの結果、山東医大外科学より楊其峰講師が和歌山医大第一外科(分院)へ、山東医大病理学より唐衛華講師が和歌山医大第二病理へ大学院生として平成11年4月よりこの国際学術共同研究に参加協力することとなった。本年はその準備として、張と覚道が、それぞれ相手側教室の症例を病理組織学的にレビューし、検索方法の標準化について話し合い、それぞれより症例と病理材料の相互利用を了承した。先ず、山東医大例30例のパラフィンブロックの提供を受け、免疫組織学的解析を始めた。本年は、交流活動を学生レベルまで広げ、学部学生の相互交流に対しても積極的に取り絹む計画である。また乳癌に関しては、組織学的バラメーターの比較と乳腺切除材料を用いて腫瘍遺伝子の解析や、環境ホルモン物質の含有(蓄積)量について脂肪組織を用い検索する予定である。そのための材料の収集とフリーザー内での保存を始めた。
