Research Abstract

平成13年度における主な成果は、以下のようである。
1.全国大学演習林の約40観測流域において、酸性降下物の状況や林内雨・樹幹流・土壌水・渓流水などのモニタリングを継続し、共通した基礎的データの蓄積をすすめた。これらのデータの蓄積により、流域スケールでの水分動態や物質動態の把握および渓流水質の形成機構や森林影響の定量的解析と広域比較をおこなうための情報が拡大した。
2.流域における水分動態や酸性降下物動態のモニタリングに加えて、土壌の酸性化が落葉の分解速度や土壌微生物のバイオマス量にあたえる影響の研究や土壌通過水の深さ別水質変化と季節変動に関する研究・森林土壌の酸性度緩衝能や窒素無機化能をはじめとした生物地球科学的性質に関する研究・流域における炭素収支に関する研究などもおこない、研究内容の拡充をはかった。
3.とくに、流域における窒素の動態に関しては、本モニタリングの推進母体である「森林域酸性降下物動態研究会」の中にもうけたP1「平水時における窒素流出の全国比較」・P2「出水時における窒素流出特性の流域間比較」・P3「森林流域における土壌窒素無機化能の広域比較」の活動を強化し、地域変異の概要を把握した。
4.流域情報の公開をめざし、WWW公開型データ・ベースの構築をおこなった。本WWW公開型データ・ベースに検索機能をもたせたことと、各大学演習林からインターネットを経由してデータの直接入力を可能としたことにより、情報の一部(pHとEC)についてはリアルタイムに近い形での公開が可能となった。
