Research Abstract	生体内で呼吸-解糖反応が進行するとき、生体膜では、酸化還元に起因する電子の膜透過反応とそれに共役した高選択的なイオンの膜透過反応が生じる。本研究は、このような生体膜反応を、酵素やタンパクを含まず、化学的性質や構造の確定している化合物のみによって構成された人工液膜系で模擬・実現し、この膜透過反応を解析して、生体膜反応の基礎化学的理解を進展させようとしたものである。また、生体膜反応に学んで、新規な金属イオンやイオン性有機化合物の膜分離法を開発することも目指した。主たる研究成果を以下に記す。 [1]新タイプの生体類似膜反応一般に、電荷の膜透過反応とは、電荷が一方の水相から取り込まれ、膜を横切り、他の水相へ放出される反応である。しかし、電荷が水相のある場所で膜に取込まれ、膜中を移動して、別の場所で元の水相に戻る反応(平行膜透過反応I)、あるいは電荷がある場所で膜から水相に移動し、水相中を移動し、別の場所で膜に戻る反応(平行膜透過反応II)も膜透過反応と見なすことができる。本年度は、平行膜透過反応IIの全容を解明し得た。 [2]水相/有機相界面電荷移動におよぼす界面吸着脂質単分子層の影響水相/有機相界面の研究から生体反応に関する高度な情報を得ようとするなら、水相/有機相界面電荷移動におよぼす界面吸着リン脂質の影響の評価を行わなければならない。この視点に立って、リン脂質の電荷移動におよぼす影響を、液滴電極電荷移動ポーラログラフィーおよび界面張力測定によって明らかにした。 [3]水相/有機相界面イオン移動自由エネルギー決定法の開発生体膜界面を水相/有機相界面によって模擬しようとするとき、親水的イオンの水相/有機相界面移動自由エネルギー(ΔG_<tr>^0)に関する知見は不可欠である。本研究では、目的イオンとH^+の2つのイオンの水相/有機相間分配比を求め、これと別途求めておいたH^+のΔG_<tr>^0を利用して、目的イオンのΔG_<tr>^0を決定する方法を確立した。
