Research Abstract	7.5kWの特殊巻線型誘導電動機をモデル用サイリスタ変換器に接続し、サイリスタ変換器より発生する無効電力変動及び変動負荷に付随した実効電力変動補償のシミュレーション実験を主として岡山大学にて行った。同時に各種の大電力半導体を用いた計算機シミュレーションによるR&Dを行った。高エネルギー加速器研究機構では比較的遅い繰り返しのパターン制御による電源の検討及び比較的速い繰り返しの共振電源の検討を行った。特に、2共振電源の多重ネットワークに関する開発研究に進展があった。日本国内の加速器研究関連施設あるいは大学で行われている、加速器電源に関する研究成果の交流のために、平成11年11月18、19日に高エネルギー加速器研究機構において、「加速器電源シンポジウム」を開催した。また、大規模実用機としては世界的に例の少ない200MJのフライホイール電源安定化装置を有する沖縄電力中城湾変電所を平成12年3月4日に視察し、開発上の諸課題について研究交流を行った。大型ハドロン計画(現在は高エ研-原研統合計画)で設計検討されている次期大型シンクロトロン電磁石電源において同規模のフライホイール装置で安定化が実現できるとの知見を得た。
