Research Abstract	1,実験的研究海馬における文脈生成の基本メカニズムとして次のことが明確となった。 (1)海馬CA1における入力-入力および入力-出力のタイミング依存性LTP/LTDの時間窓の存在を明らかにした。 (2)DGの電気刺激によるDG-CA3-CA1の海馬周回回路のダイナミックな情報の流れをオプティカルレコーディング装置で計測するのに成功した。今後DG-CA3-CA1回路での文脈生成メカニズムの解析が可能である。 (3)海馬-聴覚皮質系において海馬の電気刺激と音声刺激のタイミングに依存した抑制効果が聴覚皮質系のII、III層のニューロンに表れV、VI層は逆に増強効果が観測された。層間の情報処理の違いが示唆された。 2,モデルの研究 (1)生理実験結果に基づいて海馬-皮質系の記憶の書き込みと読み出しのプロトタイプのモデルを構築した。モデルは感覚系、海馬系(短期記憶)、連合野(長期記憶)からなり、感覚系からはローカル情報のキイコードがまた海馬系からはグローバル情報の文脈コードとが連合野上でダイナミックに相互作用する。連合野の入力層は両入力のタイミング検出ニューロンとして働き出力層はその情報をアトラクタとして記憶する再帰ニューラルネットワークの構造を持つ。このローカル・グローバル情報は連合野上の記憶場所を指定するアドレサーとして働き記憶の書き込みと読み出しの効率を飛躍的に高めていることが明らかとなった。 (2)事象の起こる順番やそれが持続している時間を記憶することは、行動の時間秩序を生成するために、基本的に要求される脳機能である。ここでは、連想記憶モデルやワーキングメモリーモデルで馴染みの深い相互結合型の神経回路モデルを構築し、興奮性細胞の自律発火の持続時間による時間記憶のモデル化を試みた。このモデルでは、時間認知の心理実験においてよく知られているウェーバー則(スケーリング則)が満たされることが証明できた。
