Research Abstract	本年度は、平成14年度に開発した圧縮手法に基づき、「データ再利用技術を用いたビデオ画像の伸張の開発」を行った。また、提案手法の効果を実証した。 1.アルゴリズムの開発本研究では、ビデオ画像の伸張アルゴリズムの開発を行った。画像データ・ストリーム中から、「変化のないブロック」を検出するための手法を開発した。実際には、「変化のあったブロック」が検出された場合には通常のデコード処理を行い、「変化のないブロック」が検出された場合にはデコード処理をメモリ・アクセス処理に変更する、といった動作を実現するための技術とそのアルゴリズムを確立した。また、ゼロ値予測に基づくDCT演算数削減手法を提案した。 2.メモリ最適化手法の開発ここでは、フレームメモリにおける書込み/読出しデータを再利用するためのシステムアーキテクチャを提案し、その最適化手法を開発した。また、メモリ・アクセスにおいて、ビット遷移回数を削減するためのデータ符号化技術に関しても研究開発を行った。さらに、シミュレーションによりメモリ最適化手法に関する検証を行った。 3.アルゴリズムの評価。標準ビデオ・ベンチマークを用いてアルゴリズム・レベルでのシミュレーション、ならびに、評価とその検証を行った。
