Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study analyzes collocations in moshiokuri nurse reports. It aims to be a foundational study for teaching Japanese to foreign nurses, responding to the increased interest in medical Japanese in Japanese Language Education. Nurse reports use particular collocations of medical terms that are not found in the national nursing exams, but which are frequently used in professional environments. For example, when nurses report on administration of oxygen, they may use the phrase “ ××L; itteimasu (= go)”, while a fever report may often contain the phrase “××℃ totteimasu (= take) ”.
