研究の最終年度はMock回路を応用した拍動循環シミュレーターを独自に作成し、これを用いてブタ大動脈基部を用いて作成したaortic root remodeling法（remodeling）とaortic valve reimplantation法（reimplantation）の血行動態（弁の応答性）の差異ならびにmicro CTを用いて形態学的差異を評価することを目的とした。
Control, remodeling, remodeling+22mm弁輪縫縮（external suture annuloplasty）, remodeling+18mm annuloplastyの比較では圧較差がこの順に3.75±1.39 mmHg，3.18±1.75 mmHg，5.40±0.97 mmHg，9.47±2.59 mmHgと上昇するものの、弁尖の接合長は4.57±1.23 mm，3.61±0.55 mm，4.98±0.88 mm，6.58±1.04 mmと改善することにより逆流率は15.17±0.74 %，12.63±1.76%，11.01±0.97%，8.54±1.98%と減少することが判明した。
Controlとreimplantationの比較では、圧較差が各々3.81±0.60 mmHg，6.18±1.23 mmHgと後者で上昇するが、弁尖の接合長は4.60±0.65 mm，5.73±1.48 mmと改善することにより逆流率は11.35±1.70%，8.56±0.85%と減少することが判明した。
以上よりremodeling単独では逆流制御には不利だがannuloplastyを加えることによりreimplantationと同等の効果を得ることができた。その程度は18mmでは圧較差が高く、22mmでは逆流制御に不十分で、その中間が最適ではないかと推測された。
今後はValsalva機能を備えたreimplantation法や他のannuloplastyなどを用いたremodelingの比較も視野に入れている。
