Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In Japan, a syndrome named “Modern-Type Depression (MTD)” has emerged in the past decade, seen predominately in young people, undergoing occasional depressive symptoms and evasive symptoms brought about when performance at work and school does not go well. Most cases of MTD are not as severe as major depressive disorder, and tend easily to be diagnosed as adjustment disorder. The purpose of this study is to develop the multidimensional assessment system for MTD. We have developed a questionnaire to assess the traits of MTD (Kato et al. in preparation). In addition, we have revealed some psychosocial factors of MTD using our PC-based trust game. We have also revealed some possible blood biomarkers of MTD.
