Outline of Final Research Achievements

Barrier tissues including skin harbors a variety of resident leukocyte subsets to exert immune responses against external stimuli. They must be tightly regulated to maintain immunological homeostasis, which mechanisms have not been elucidated. In this study, we established a murine model recapitulating the cutaneous T cell lymphoma epidermotropism, which depended on the presence of hair follicle-derived cytokine. These results in pathological-state as well as the characterization of skin-resident memory B cells in steady-state, would contribute to the fundamental recognition of complex immune systems in skin.
