Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we aimed to elucidate the control mechanism of bone quality, focusing on regulation of bone forming osteoblast cell-cell communication. We have elucidated that lack of collagen VI or collagen XII induces osteoblast shape change thereby decreased bone quality. In this research, we found that cooperative regulation of collagens VI and XII form osteoblast cell-cell communication network.
