| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
2019年度は三つの段階で全体的な研究成果を公開した。
（１）5月19日日本西洋史学会で「中世におけるデナリウス貨幣の世界」と題するシンポジウムを開催し、鶴島博和、山田雅彦、徳橋曜、城戸照子が報告したのち、全体の討論を行った。
（２）7月4日 若手研究者を中心としてこれまでの研究成果をイギリスのリーズ国際中世学会で報告し国際的な発信を行った。1） Session 1552 The Monetary system and Currency in Eurasia in the Pre-Modern Era I: Authority and Coinage in the Medieval Mediterranean Region, 報告者は、 図師宣忠、阿部俊大、西村道也、亀谷学, 2) Session 1652 The Monetary system and Currency in Eurasia in the Pre-Modern Era II: Money and Its Circulation in the British Isles and Scandinavia, 報告者は、内川勇太、梁川洋子、西岡健司、成川岳大、二つのセッションとも活発な討論を行い、将来的な研究継続の基礎を築いた。
（３）9月3・4日第四回目の全体国際シンポジウムを立教大学で行った。The International Symposium on Money and Its Circulation in the Pre-Modern Western Eurasian World part III: Britain, the Baltic Sea, The Italian Peninsula, the Islamic World and Beyond（立教大学）, 報告者は以下の通り。Dr R. Naismith, Dr W. Day. Dr A. Popescu, Dr. Screen, Prof. M. Baldassari, Prof. A. Saccocci, Prof. A. Canto Dr M. Jankowiak.地中海域とバルト海域というヨーロッパの二つの海域での通貨の在り方を具体的に検討した。
報告書『前近代ユーラシア西部における貨幣と流通のシステムの構造と展開』を作成した。
